Food Cart Pods – Portland has as many as 500 trucks and many are organized in pods.  There are a lot of places throughout Portland where food trucks gather.  Downtown, near PSU, in the SouthEast, and each is set up differently.  Some have seating &/or covered areas, some have a bar and others not.   • Pod 28: on SE 28th and Ankeny - greek, aisian, pizza and more.  The Captured Beer Bus is now located at Pod 28 on SE 28th and Ankeny with 5 other food carts. They offer a rotating selection of beers and cider along with wine. Covered seating for those rainy days.

  • Rose City Food Park: 10+ vendors, beer and covered seating.  (NE 52nd and Sandy Blvd)

  • Good Food Here: 18 carts, covered seating, Rogue Brewing, & kid friendly. (SW 9th and Washington)

  • Tidbit Food Farm and Garden: 18 carts and beer.  (5th and Oak)

  • SW 10th – SW 12th & Alder St: the city’s largest pod.  The 2 blocks have more than 60 carts, open daily & weekends.  Seating is very limited.  Pull up a piece of cement in the nearby O’Bryant Square.

  • SW 4th & Hall: Supported by Portland state Univ. featuring 25 carts, including and vegan BBQ. (SE 12th Ave. & SE Hawthorne)

DESSERTS

Often on the list of Portland “must do’s”, which creates a long line – almost always.  If you’re a true donut-a-holic, try Blue Star Donuts.  But if you want to check out Voodoo because everyone says you should, we’ll then, walk there and you’ll feel better about your indulgence.
